The agreement covers the sharing of filling plants and depots on a country-wide level and is an evolution of existing regional operational agreements between the two companies.
“Based on this deepened cooperation, Supergasbras will be able to optimise its operational structure and subsequently its distribution and logistics,” said Michael Kossack, Management Board Member and Chief Operating Officer of SHV Energy.
The two companies will remain strictly independent in their respective commercial activities. The collaboration agreement will only cover supporting functions through the sharing of operational assets in the form of a consortium.
Supergasbras is a leading player in the Brazilian LPG market with over 4,000 employees serving more than 9,000 resellers and around 10 million families across the country.
Execution of the contract is subject to approval by the Brazilian competition authorities (CADE).
